Video Roundtable
The Video Roundtable is a panel of veteran New York lawyers who discuss and debate the issues facing landlords and tenants in New York today. The regular panelists on the roundtable include:
The host and director of the show is Steven De Castro, a tenant lawyer who has served on the Housing Advisory Council, the body which evaluates housing court judges for reappointment.
Mr. De Castro collaborates on this project with Lucas Ferrara, who is a landlord attorney, a law professor, and the author of the multi-volume treatise Landlord Tenant Practice in New York. Mr. Ferrara is a panelist and a casting director of the project.
On the air, panel consists of three tenant lawyers and three landlord lawyers. Since these lawyers operate in the same courts, often as adversaries, they are usually familiar with each other and grapple with the most important issues facing landlords and tenants in New York on a daiiy basis. The format of the show is that the host will introduce a guest, ask the guest a few questions, and then open the floor for questions from the panelists. Occasionally, the “guest” will be one of the panelists themselves, who was personally involved in an important case.
